Today, on December 14, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met at the Congress Center of the Avaza National Tourist Zone with President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who arrived in our country to participate in the trilateral Summit of the heads of state of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkiye.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the development of interstate relations in various fields. Particular attention was paid to the expansion of trade and economic ties, partnerships in the fuel and energy complex, the transport and communications sector and industry. Issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation were a separate topic of the talks.

Also, during the conversation, issues of deepening regional partnership were discussed, including within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, to which Turkmenistan joined in November last year as an observer.

In addition, it was emphasized at the talks that the parties attach particular importance to the deepening of traditional humanitarian contacts, which is due to the common historical roots, cultural and spiritual values that go back thousands of years, uniting the two fraternal peoples.
